Bachelor's

Psychology Major

Northwestern University Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences 58 courses

About This Program

Majors with strong academic records and an interest in pursuing honors should submit an application in spring of junior year. Course grades and research experience are both considered in selecting participants. Students typically enroll in PSYCH 398-1 in fall, PSYCH 398-2 in winter, and PSYCH 398-3 in spring of senior year and carry out a year-long research project; one Senior Thesis Seminar credit may count toward requirements for the major. The senior thesis is a report on the research project. Students whose theses and grades meet department criteria are recommended to the college for graduation with honors. For more information see the department website and Honors in the Major.
