About This Program

(Advanced Program for Principal Licensure) The Master of Education in Educational Administration with an Emphasis in School Business and Finance program is designed for individuals interested in educational administration in the PK12 setting and seeking a principal’s license with a focus on school business and finance. Applicants for this program are required to provide documentation of two years of verified teaching experience. The National Educational Leadership Preparation (NELP) standards and the Professional Standards for Educational Leaders (PSEL) form the foundation of this regionally accredited and Arizona-approved program of study. Courses are taught by expert practitioners in their respective fields who share knowledge and experience in areas of school leadership, administrative foundations, creating and sustaining positive school cultures, PK12 legal issues, finance, curriculum development, professional development and empowerment of teachers, and instructional leadership. Mission driven ventures are explored to ensure both communities and the greater good of society are served. Graduates would be well-suited to establish an ethos around character education in their schools. Principal candidates must be prepared to complete three clinical internships for a minimum of 300 hours. Graduates of the program are well prepared to be informed educational administrators in public and private schools, and other settings requiring a principal’s license.
