About This Program

The Master of Arts in Theology offers students the opportunity to deepen their biblical and theological knowledge and strengthen their ability to engage culture with charity and grace. The program guides students in forming a theologically orthodox vision to participate in God’s overall mission to save and redeem fallen humanity and renew creation. Through the study of historical and contemporary theology, the program equips students to engage their context faithfully and wisely with theological and biblical insight. Coursework prepares students to form a contextual basis for theological engagement in the church and society. The curriculum focuses on various aspects of theological studies with a concentration on theology and culture, cultural exegesis and contextualization, and Christian apologetics. As a result, the program provides academic engagement that equips God’s people to bear witness to God’s kingdom in ways that further human flourishing. This program culminates in a capstone course that includes a thesis.
