About This Program

The Department of German offers minors in German, German Studies, and Business German. Students take 7 courses, including up to 4 courses from a year abroad, or 2 courses from a semester abroad. The minors are designed to help students develop a coherent set of courses in accordance with their own interests in German language, literature, thought, culture, politics, and business practices. Double-counting note: Weinberg College allows double-counting a prerequisite course for a minor toward some other major or minor, or general bachelor's degree requirement. Other programs or schools may have their own restrictions that supersede this, so check the relevant parts of this catalog for possible limits. Double-counting note: Weinberg College prohibits double-counting a minor course toward some other major or minor, except where this is explicitly permitted in this catalog. Weinberg College does allow double-counting a minor course toward a general bachelor's degree requirement (i.e. degree requirements other than majors or minors). Other programs or schools may have their own restrictions that supersede this, so check the relevant parts of this catalog for possible limits.
