The Minor in Educational Theatre introduces students to the transformative potential of the theatre arts and provides opportunities to investigate possible career paths as a theatre artist or educator in schools, cultural institutions, or community settings. Students take courses in production and performance and explore pedagogical approaches to teaching theatre. The curriculum includes required courses and electives chosen through advisement. See Steinhardt policies for minor declaration. All Steinhardt minors are open to students from across NYU, but restrictions may apply.
