University at Buffalo 3 credits Philosophy
Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) is an increasingly popular area of study. It brings together the analytic and normative tools of philosophy with the methods of the social sciences to get traction on meaningful, messy, high-stakes social and political problems. This PPE Research Lab is meant to be hands-on. Students will learn how to move from an interesting idea to a real research project: formulating a novel research question, choosing an appropriate method, and designing and executing a study-computational, experimental, or empirical. Along the way weβll cover core elements of research design and build practical skills in computational modeling (including NetLogo). The class is also a workshop: students will regularly share work-in-progress, give and receive feedback, and practice the craft of constructive critique.
Our subject experts help with essays, research papers, case studies, discussion posts, and capstone projects for these programs β written from scratch to your course requirements.
