Prerequisite: Graduate standing and consent of instructor. The course is designed to introduce doctoral students to computer data analytic topics and techniques to analyze large health care databases using SAS and R. Topics include big data in the US healthcare system, fundamental and advanced SAS and R programming, and issues related to conceptual approach to data analysis including causal inference vs. data mining.
