A 4 week virtual externship for medical students interested in neurological surgery. The course will be based on the integration of the student into multiple weekly educational conferences and didactic sessions, virtual attendance of live surgical cases, and surgical skills sessions. Through these virtual formats the student will have the opportunity to engage with our faculty and resident complements while being exposed to and learning the evaluation and both surgical and non-surgical management of common and complex neurosurgical pathology. This includes neurosurgical trauma, neuro-oncology, spine pathology, cerebrovascular disease, functional neurosurgical disorder and pediatrics.
