Computer Science, Data Science, and Engineering Senior Project

New York University 0 credits Computer Science

Course Description

The Computer Science, Data Science, and Engineering Senior Project is a zero-credit capstone course for students who fulfill their graduation requirement by extending a major elective course project into a formal academic thesis. Students must select a substantial final project from an approved upper-level CSDSE elective—either previously completed or in progress—and develop it into a capstone paper that meets the academic and formatting standards of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission (SMEC). A list of eligible elective courses can be found through the bulletin. Unlike the Advanced Senior Project, this pathway focuses on project refinement, academic writing, and scholarly communication, rather than the development of new research. Prerequisites: Senior standing with a primary major in Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering (collectively referred to as CSDSE).
