Lithography

Temple University 3 credits ART

Course Description

Lithography is a 19th century printmaking process still used in fine art and commercially to produce everything from posters to newspapers. In this course, students will create prints using a range of lithographic printing methods that employ hand-drawn, digital, and photomechanical image techniques to translate creative visions into prints on paper. Throughout the course, students will develop their own creative visions, while learning to contextualize that work in the long and dynamic history of lithography.
